Mokoan - return to wetland
The Victorian Government's decision to return Lake Mokoan to a natural wetland provides exciting opportunities to secure a reliable and viable water supply for irrigators while undertaking one of the biggest wetland restoration projects in the nation's history.

The $60 million Our Water Our Future project will make available 44,000 megalitres of water each year to directly improve the health of the Broken, Goulburn, Snowy and Murray rivers.

It will create a new, unique regional asset, a showcase of future water usage that will provide benefits for industry, communities and environmental sustainability.
